Smoking in bed appears to the cause of a Saturday night house fire in
North Central Austin.
The fire started just after 7:30 p.m. on West Crestland Drive.
Two people inside the house were sent to Brackenridge Hospital for
observation. One of them was injured trying to fight the fire. Their
injuries are not life threatening.
The fire caused $100,000 worth of damage.
Fire officials say there were no working smoke detectors in the house.
