South Texas man wins $1 million from Texas Lottery scratch ticket

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - A Beeville man is now a millionaire after buying a Texas Lottery scratch off ticket. Charles E. Sullivan won a prize of $1 million in a game called $500,000,000 CASH.

The game has a total of 40 $1 million prizes and 10 $2.5 million. Sullivan was the 11th winner to claim the $1 million. Only four people have won the grand prize.

The winning ticket was sold at a Valero station in Beeville located along the 2300 block of West Corpus Christi Street. The store is coming out a winner as well. For selling the ticket, they will be getting $10,000 as a retailer bonus.

According to the Texas Lottery Commission, the odds of winning any prize in the game are one in 2.76, including break-even prizes.
