BASTROP COUNTY - UPDATE: Mordell Allen has been found and is safe.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Austin Police Department said Friday they are joining the search for a 68-year-old Bastrop County woman diagnosed with a cognitive impairment.
Mordell Allen was seen around 10 a.m. Friday at a CVS on South Congress, APD said. She is described as a black female, 5'0", weighing 127 lbs, with black hair, brown eyes, and last seen wearing a white cotton jacket, blue jeans, black shoes, a black purse and a blue duffel bag.

The Bastrop County Sheriff's Office said Thursday in an update to the Silver Alert that Allen had stayed at a motel in the Highway 290/I-35 area and left at approximately 3 a.m. Thursday. She checked out wearing a white hoodie and a red bandana on her head, officials said. The sheriff's office said she was seen at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Walmart at 1030 Norwood Park Blvd. in Austin, purchasing several items that indicated she could be planning to stay outside.
