Serial I-35 rock throwing suspect sentenced for sex assault of child

TRAVIS COUNTY, TEXAS - A jury found Patrick Johnson -- who is also the prime suspect in the Interstate 35 rock throwings -- guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a teen boy and two counts of indecency with a child Thursday.

Johnson was sentenced to 99 years in prison for aggravated sexual assault, 75 years for indecency and 20 years for exposure. He will be eligible for parole in 30 years.

After hearing evidence, the jury found that Johnson repeatedly sexually assaulted a teen boy who was between the ages of 13 and 15 when the assaults occurred. The accuser is now 19-years-old.

According to KVUE's news partners at the Austin American-Statesman, Johnson admitted to having sex with a friend of the accuser, but only after the friend had turned 17.

Johnson said he believes his accuser is motivated by money.
