Are you a vet? These spots are offering free food

TEXAS - In honor of Veterans Day, restaurants are serving those who served the nation by offering up free food.

On Nov. 10, Denny's will offer a free "Build Your Own Grand Slam" at participating locations from 5 a.m. until noon. 

On Nov. 11, 65 Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar restaurants across Texas are offering a free meal from their Veterans Day menu available for dine-in only with proof of military service. A U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, photograph in uniform or wearing uniform, DD214, or a Citation or Commendation will be excepted as proof.

On Nov. 12 through Nov. 16, Outback Steakhouse will be offering military service members 20 percent off of their bill. And beginning on Nov, 17 military, fire and police officers will receive 10 percent off of their bill.
