Police respond to bank robbery in N. Austin

AUSTIN - Austin police on Wednesday responded to a 911 call regarding a Wells Fargo bank robbery around 4:30 p.m. in the 11200 block of Interstate Highway 35.

Officials described the suspect as a white male, about 40 to 50 years old, 5'8" to 5'10" in height with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, gray cap, blue jeans, black shoes, glasses and he had a beard.

Officials said the suspect presented a note to a bank employee demanding money, received an unknown amount of money and left on foot in an unknown direction of travel. No injuries were reported and no weapon was ever presented, police said.
