Police: Body found in missing man's SUV

FRESNO, CALIF. - Police said they believe they may have found the body of a missing 32-year-old Leander man in a vehicle southeast Fresno.

Fresno police tell KVUE’s ABC affiliate KFSN that they received a call Friday morning from a Holiday Inn Hotel manager in southeast Fresno. The manager told police he recognized a car in his parking lot matching the description of the car rented by Devin Strunk in August.

Officers responded and found a body “on the floorboard in the rear seat of the vehicle.” The coroner’s office is working to identify the body. Police tell KFSN as of Friday afternoon there are no signs of foul play in the man’s death.

Strunk was last seen Aug. 20 by hotel employees inside the hotel. His friends and family told police that he suffered from depression and made statements about visiting Yosemite National Park while in Fresno.
