One dead in Pflugerville after colliding with semi

PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS - One man has died after colliding and getting pinned underneath a semi truck in Pflugerville Monday morning.

According to Austin-Travis County EMS, the man in his 40s crashed into the semi at around 6:15 a.m. in the 18600 block of Heatherwilde Boulevard near Pflugerville Parkway. A witness told KVUE's Cori Coffin that the semi was pulling out of a private driveway onto Heatherwilde Boulevard and didn't see the motorcyclist.

Medics tried to rescue him from underneath the semi, but he was later pronounced dead on the scene.

Heatherwilde Boulevard is expected to remain closed until about 9:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.
