Suspects in gun store burglary arrested

Police said two suspects wanted for stealing firearms from a northwest Austin store have been arrested.

Austin police did not identify the two, but said they are teenagers and that the weapons reported stolen have been recovered. APD previously said the two broke into ATX Armory along Roxie Drive around 3:05 a.m. June 12 and stole six weapons, including one MP-5 fully automatic weapon.

“Getting illegally obtained guns off the street is ATF’s top priority,” said ATF Houston Field Division Special Agent in Charge Fred Milanowski.

APD said charges are pending against the suspects.

This story will be updated as charges are filed and the suspects are identified.

Anyone with information is asked to contact ATF at 888-ATF-TIPS or Crime Stoppers of Austin at 512-472-TIPS. You can also submit tips with the Crime Stoppers app or APD's app, available on iPhone or Android.
