Drivers killed in head-on crash in SW Austin identified

AUSTIN - The drivers killed in a head-on crash at the intersection of West U.S. 290 and Scenic Brook Drive Thursday night have been identified.

According to the Department of Public Safety, Robbi Lynn Sluder, 58, was driving a 2013 Jaguar westbound on 290 when she crossed the double yellow line into oncoming traffic just before 9:30 p.m. She then struck a 2001 Toyota FJ Cruiser driven by Brian Tobias Sudduth, 49. Both drivers, who are from Austin, were killed on the scene.

Sudduth had four 11-year-old boys in his vehicle. All four of them were taken to Dell Children's Medical Center. As of Friday morning, three are in serious condition and one was only described to be in "stable" condition. When more information is provided on their condition, this story will update.
