Melania Trump, Karen Pence stop at Whataburger during Coastal Bend visit

When in Texas, do as the Texans do.

First Lady Melania Trump and Second Lady Karen Pence seemed to live by those words as they were visiting the Coastal Bend Wednesday during their trip to meet with families affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Stephanie Grisham, White House director of communications for Melania Trump, tweeted a photo of the duo as they smiled at the order station.

"On our way out of town, @FLOTUS & @SecondLady decided to stop in to @Whataburger for some lunch! The American chain opened its 1st restaurant in Corpus Christi, TX in 1950!" Grisham wrote in the tweet.

The pair were scheduled to take part in a meet-and-greet with first responders upon their arrival in Corpus Christi, travel to Rockport to meet a family whose home was destroyed during the storm, and speak to elementary school students and faculty who were affected by Harvey.
