Man arrested after allegedly sending sexually explicit texts to boy, 13

NEW BRUANFELS, TEXAS - A 28-year-old has been arrested in New Braunfels after he allegedly sent sexually explicit text messages to a 13-year-old boy.

According to the New Braunfels Police Department, a woman reached out to NBPD on April 17, saying her son, 13, had received the text messages from an adult man.

Detectives executed a search warrant on Blaine Tafolla Gunter's home on May 3. During that search detectives said they obtained enough evidence to obtain an arrest warrant for Gunter and charged him with Online Solicitation of a Minor. They found that Gunter had met the child through the use of a sexually explicit website and cell phone app before exchanging phone numbers with the child.

Gunter was arrested at his workplace on May 4 and taken to the Comal County Jail with a bond set at $75,000.
