This holiday season, volunteers with area dog rescues are wrapping presents to raise money for their furry friends.
This is happening at area book stores and local retailers.
The wrapping is free but volunteers are accepting donations.
On Friday, KVUE caught up with some of them from Central Texas Dachshund Rescue as they wrapped gifts at the Barnes and Noble off Brodie Lane in South Austin.
"They've been very successful," Central Texas Dachshund Rescue volunteer Penny MacDonnell said. "Last year we made a couple hundred dollars with just the gift wrapping."
All of the money earned is put toward Central Texas Dachshund Rescue.
Volunteers want to stress they're always in need of donations and they have several dachshunds listed on their website looking for a forever home. If you're interested click here.
