Lights of Tejas gives back to flood victims

The Lights of Tejas event is back for its eighth year. Organizers say they expect thousands of people to head to the Tejas Camp and Retreat Center in Giddings

GIDDINGS, TEXAS - The Lights of Tejas Christmas event has returned for its eighth year.

The event started Friday and will continue on select nights through December 29 at the Tejas Camp and Retreat Center in Giddings.

Organizers said they will donate $1 from every ticket sold on November 24 and 25 to those impacted by Hurricane Harvey in LaGrange.

The event attracts thousands of people each year. More than 14,000 people attended in 2016.

Tickets are $9 and include hayrides, bounce houses, fireworks and more. There are additional activities also available for purchase.
