Aggravated robbery suspect surrenders to Williamson County authorities

An aggravated robbery suspect from Leon County has surrendered to Williamson County authorities, the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force said Tuesday.

Cullen Shane Pate, 22, was wanted in an April 7 robbery in Oakwood, around 160 miles northeast of Austin. U.S. Marshals said Pate and two other suspects were engaged in a narcotics transaction with two victims in Oakwood. Pate and another suspect, who were both armed with shotguns, shot the two victims and fled the scene with narcotics and money. Both victims survived the gunshots and are recovering.

On April 19, authorities believed Pate was in the Cedar Park or Austin area, and was considered to be armed and dangerous.

Online records at the Williamson County Jail state Pate was booked on April 25 on the aggravated robbery charge. His bond has been set at $500,000.
