FORT HOOD - The largest study to date on curing PTSD was published Wednesday in The Journal of American Medicine.
The entire study was done on Fort Hood.
More than 250 patients in the study were active duty.
The research said Cognitive Processing Therapy is the most effective way to put PTSD into remission as of now.
CPT works in a way to relive the trauma so that the brain becomes desensitized to it. It helps soften the triggers of the post traumatic stress.
