Bridge work to impact MetroRail service

AUSTIN – Upgrades to a bridge between the Leander and Lakeline stations of the MetroRail Red Line will have passengers using a bus for at least two trips daily during the month of June.

Capital Metro said the work is expected to last from June 5 to June 30. During that time, the last departure from the Leander station to downtown and first departure from the downtown station to Leander will not run. Instead, CapMetro will provide bus service between the Lakeline and Leander stations.

Riders who take the 8:40 a.m. train from the Leander station will instead board a bus that will take them to the Lakeline station, where the will be able to take the 9:22 a.m. train to downtown. Those who take the 3:44 p.m. train from downtown will transfer to a bus at the Lakeline station, and that bus will take them to Leander.
