Missing Wimberley woman found safe

The Hays County Sheriff's Office said a missing Wimberley woman was found safe on Thursday.

HCSO said that around 5:30 p.m. a woman contacted them and said she had seen a media release on the missing woman and she was with her. 

ORIGINAL STORY: The Hays County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing Wimberley woman.

Gina Marie Edwards, 62, was last seen on May 2 at approximately 10:45 p.m. in the 11400 block of Ranch Road 12 in Wimberley. She is believed to be on foot and possibly with a yellow Labrador retriever dog named Sonny.

Edwards is described as approximately 5'1" tall, 105 pounds with light brown hair and green eyes. HCSO does not have a description of the clothing she was last seen wearing. 

Anyone with information about Edwards or her location is asked to contact HCSO at 512-393-7896 and speak with the Criminal Investigations Division or contact Hays County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-324-TIPS.
