Frank Erwin Center issues reminder for its clear bag policy

AUSTIN - With the Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias concert coming to the Frank Erwin Center Nov. 22, the venue is issuing a reminder about its new clear bag policy. It's the same clear bag policy in effect for all Texas Athletics events.

Approved bags include bags that are clear plastic and do not exceed 12x6x12 inches. Large purses and totes, backpacks, fanny packs and camera cases are prohibited. Small clutch bags or purses are OK and do not have to be clear as long as they don't exceed 4.5x6.5 inches.

Also, an important note to parents, everything that you would put into a diaper bag must now be carried in a clear bag. Each member of a family, including children, is allowed to carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse into the stadium.

This new clear bag policy will enable security to move guests through checkpoints much faster and help increase stadium security.

If guests show up with a bag that doesn't fit the new criteria, they will not be allowed to enter. Instead, they will be asked to return items to their car before coming in.
