Fire crews rescue 4 pets from burning Round Rock home

ROUND ROCK, TEXAS - Fire crews rescued four animals from a burning home Tuesday morning.

According to the city of Round Rock, authorities were dispatched to the residence in the 1800 block of Bayland Street at 8:56 a.m.

First responders said they saw heavy smoke coming from the second floor of the residence.

Crews rescued two dogs and two cats from the home. All of them were treated for smoke inhalation by medics, but are expected to be okay.

The Round Rock Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire.

The home sustained approximately $50,000 worth of damage.
