Fearing euthanasia, WilCo animal shelter seeking fosters and adopters

Normally a no-kill shelter, the Williamson County Animal Shelter is asking for more adopters and foster homes as euthanasia threat looms.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS - The Williamson County Animal Shelter is asking for your help.

The shelter is in desperate need of fosters for medium and large dogs. It said it currently has an overflow of dogs since people stepped up to help animals displaced by Hurricane Harvey. Now, the shelter says fewer dogs are being adopted.

Though the shelter hasn't had to euthanize for space since 2010, representatives said they might have to put some dogs down due to a lack of room.

To help with the process, the shelter is offering free adoptions for dogs seven months and older until this weekend. More information can be found on their Website here.
