Fayette County Fair proceeds to benefit Hurricane Harvey victims

LA GRANGE, TEXAS - The Fayette County Fair has announced that it will be donating 100 percent of this year’s profits to support the flood victims of Hurricane Harvey.

The fair, scheduled to take place August 31 through September 3, said that a few changes had to be made this year due to the weather, including canceling the carnival and parade due to flooding and increased fuel costs.

Fair organizers said that if fair goers have already purchased a “fun pass” for the carnival, those tickets can be returned for a cash refund or donated to the flood victims.

Remote parking will also be available in downtown La Grange and at La Grange High School with air-conditioned shuttles available, fair organizers said.

Entertainers for the event include Clay Walker, Kevin Fowler, Sunny Sweeney, Curtis Grimes and many more. The full schedule of events can be found here.

Tickets to the fair are free on Thursday, $15 on Friday, $25 on Saturday and $35 on Sunday. The fairgrounds are located at 400 W. Fair Grounds Road in La Grange.
