AUSTIN - After Austin's Municipal Court Downtown closed Wednesday for emergency maintenance, the court is set to reopen for normal operations at 7 a.m. Friday.
According to the city, the building was closed for asbestos testing.
"That testing has come back negative and the building is safe for normal operations to resume," the city said.
All appearances and dockets at the Downtown Municipal Court for the remainder of Wednesday and Thursday will be rescheduled. All fines that were due Nov. 29 and Nov. 30 are now due on Dec. 1.
