AUSTIN - Following news of the deadly stabbing on University of Texas at Austin's campus Monday, El Arroyo's always-on-point sign dropped its typically humorous side to pay tribute to the grieving community.
El Arroyo, the famous Mexican restaurant on Fifth Street, is known for its devilishly clever sign, which usually comes through with on-point and hilarious commentary. Whether it's perfectly summing up the holidays or recovering from a tumble during severe weather, Austin's favorite sign never disappoints.
El Arroyo's sign came through again after a devastating day on UT's campus.
Harrison Brown, a first-year student at UT from North Texas, was near Gregory Gymnasium when police believe a different student, Kendrex White, stabbed him to death. Brown was among several who were allegedly stabbed by White.
The day after the tragedy, El Arroyo's sign dropped its act and read, "Sending love to the UT community stay strong Longhorns." Take a look:
