Handicap spaces limited at some polling places, disabled voter says

Early voting begins in Texas

Austin, TX -- Not all voters were pleased with the early voting experience Monday.

KVUE News talked to Wanda Rogers at ACC Highland Mall, one of the four polling mega sites in Travis County.

Rogers said she has a disabled mother. After going to two polling locations, she ended up having to park far away from the site, due to all of the handicap spaces being filled up.

"To have to park, three spaces, three sections down and go sections up when you have 10 or 11 parking spaces for handicap, they all full. It's not, I don't think it's in ADA compliance for this type of election, especially with it being the presidential election," she said.

KVUE News talked to Travis County officials about the issue. They said if you have any similar concerns, you should reach out to the election judge at the site for assistance.
