PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS - Connally High School's principal, who will leave in June after the district's board of trustees voted to not renew his contract, was investigated several years ago for an alleged relationship with a teacher while he was with the Waco school district, KVUE's news partners at the Austin American-Statesman reported.
Connally Principal Kermit Ward has been on administrative leave at the Pflugerville Independent School district since Feb. 6 for a personnel matter. On Friday, the district's board of trustees voted to not renew Ward's contract with the school.
KVUE asked for more details about his leave, but the communications officer with the district said he can't go into detail. The Statesman said records show he resigned from the Waco school district in 2009 as the assistant principal at Waco High School after an investigation was launched into his alleged relationship with a teacher under his supervision.
