AUSTIN - As police officers march to remember their fallen comrades, the Congress Avenue Bridge will close for several hours late Monday morning into the early afternoon.
Starting at 10:30 a.m., the Congress Avenue Bridge will close until about 1 p.m. for the Peace Officer Memorial Parade. According to KVUE's news partners at the Austin American-Statesman, the officers will assemble on the bridge and march to the south steps of the Texas State Capitol for a memorial.
The Statesman said Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush are scheduled to speak.
