Confirmed: Beyonce to appear at 50th CMAs

It's official: Beyonce will be getting in formation on the CMA Awards stage tonight.

The award show's co-host Brad Paisley confirmed the rumor in a Twitter post that racked up more than 200 retweets in an hour.

"Frequently, country crosses over," Paisley wrote. "But every now & then a major pop superstar wants to be a part of this too. Welcome, Beyoncé."

So, what could Beyonce have planned for tonight's show? Fans are convinced she'll be opening the evening by performing her country-inspired song "Daddy Lessons" with the Dixie Chicks — and well, that makes a lot of sense. The Dixie Chicks have been covering "Daddy Lessons" in concert, and Beyonce clearly recorded the tune with a country audience in mind.
