FAYETTE COUNTY, TEXAS - A 3-year-old child has died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday afternoon in Fayette County, according to the sheriff's office there.
In an initial press release from Fayette County, authorities said the child was 4-years-old. Later, an updated press release stated the child was 3-years-old.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, police received a call at around 4:45 p.m. that a child had been struck by a vehicle on Harold Road in the Muldoon area. When emergency responders arrived, the child was found unresponsive in the driveway.
The identity of the child and driver have been withheld pending an investigation.
