Bat with rabies bites man in Kyle

KYLE, TEXAS - After a man was bitten by a bat on Tuesday, the Hays County Sheriff's Office said test results came back positive for rabies.

In a press release from the sheriff's office on Thursday, the incident happened in the area of Pin Oak Drive in Kyle, Texas.  

Officials are reminding people to not pick up bats that are found lying on the ground and instead call the Animal Control unit in your area so they can dispose of the bat properly after testing for rabies.
