Austin police, FBI searching for bank robbery suspect

AUSTIN - Austin police and the FBI Central Texas Robbery Task Force are looking for a man accused of robbing an Austin Telco Credit Union Saturday afternoon.

Police said the robbery happened at the location in the 13800 block of North U.S. Highway 183 Service Road northbound, near Lakeline Mall.

The suspect allegedly gave the bank teller a note demanding money before fleeing the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white man, 25-30 years-old, 6-feet tall and weighing 150-160 pounds. He's said to have a thin build, a short goatee, and reddish-brownish hair (possibly a wig). He was last seen wearing a brown sport coat, maroon button-up shirt, brown hat, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
