Austin-based Yeti files 2 more lawsuits against competitors

AUSTIN - After settling a lawsuit with RTIC Coolers back in February, Yeti is suing two more competitors that the company claims is selling "confusingly similar" products, according to KVUE's news partners at the Austin American-Statesman.

The Statesman reported that Austin-based Yeti filed the lawsuits in federal court on Friday against Livingston-based Axis Cups and Alabama-based Bayou Ice Boxes. In addition to monetary damages, Yeti is hoping to force both companies to recall existing products and redesign their products going forward.

When Yeti settled the lawsuit against RTIC Coolers, Yeti said the owners were "required to make a financial payment to Yeti; to cease sales of all products subject to the lawsuit – this includes hard-sided coolers, soft-sided coolers and drinkware; and to redesign all products in question."
