ATX to Florida in 2 hours: Southwest launches new nonstop summer flights

Southwest Airlines is launching two new weekly, nonstop flights from Austin to Florida during the summer.

The flights, which will begin on Saturday, will depart from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and go to either Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) and Pensacola International Airport (PNS).

The flight to PNS, which is located in the northeast of the central business district of Pensacola, will leave Austin at 5:30 p.m. and land in Pensacola at 7:20 p.m. on Saturdays. The returning flights will leave Pensacola at 10 a.m. and arrive in Austin at 11:55 a.m.

Flights to ECP, in the northwest of Panama City near Panama City Beach, will leave Austin at 12:10 p.m. and arrive in Panama City at 2:10 p.m. on Saturdays.
