APD seeking suspect accused of repeatedly flashing genitals

AUSTIN - The Austin Police Department is seeking information regarding at least six indecent exposure cases that occurred in a South Austin neighborhood.

The APD said between Sept. 21 and Oct. 1, there have been six reported incidents of a male exposing his genitals to women working outside their residences or jogging/running in the neighborhood. Reports state the suspect was either walking or jogging with a cellphone in his hand, which he allegedly used to illuminate his exposed genitals after getting their attention.

Police said these incidents were reported in a residential area near Manchaca Road and Frate Barker Road, five of which were reported at night and one around noon.

APD described the suspect as a Hispanic male in his late teens to early 30s, approximately 180 to 210 pounds, and about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 11 inches in height. He was reported last seen wearing a baseball cap, shorts, shirt or muscle shirt, socks and dark shoes.

Police said it is possible that the suspect could have exposed himself to other women and ask all victims to make a report. More information about these incidents or to report someone matching this description can be given by calling the Sex Crimes Hotline at 512-974-5095.
