APD searching for suspects who robbed Dan's Hamburgers

Austin police are seeking the public's help in identifying two men involved in the robbery of a north Austin restaurant.

APD said the robbery happened around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, June 5, at Dan's Hamburgers, located at 5602 N. Lamar Blvd.

The suspects, who were both armed, took an undisclosed amount of money and fled going westbound toward the 5700 block of Sunshine Dr. APD said the suspects stayed in the parking lot for a while before the robbery and may have been seen by someone in nearby apartment complexes. 

One of the suspects is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build. He is possibly left-handed and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark sweatpants.

The other suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and camouflage pants.

Police are also searching for a vehicle of interest related to the robbery. It is possibly a white or silver small 4-door sedan that was observed in the 5700 block of Sunshine Dr. around the time of the robbery.

The case is being investigated by APD Robbery Detectives.
