AUSTIN - Police said a man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly pointed an AK-47 rifle at another driver in South Austin.
According to court documents, the victim reported he was driving eastbound on West Stassney Lane when a tan-colored Nissan pulled up beside him at a stop light. He stated that the driver, later identified as 22-year-old Sebastian Fleming, began staring at him.
Thinking Fleming wanted to tell him something, the victim stated he lowered his window and witnessed Fleming reach towards the center of his vehicle and pull out what he recognized as an AK-47. The victim said he then followed Fleming to a home on Armadillo Road where Fleming allegedly pulled out the firearm and pointed it at him.
The victim reported he heard Fleming state, "you followed me," and pulled back the slide on the weapon. After which, Fleming walked into the house.
Police said that after making contact with the suspect, Fleming reported that the victim had cut him off and he admitted to pointing the weapon at him. Police identified the weapon as a Century Arms RAS47 pistol with a 30-round magazine.
Fleming was charged with aggravated assault, a second-degree felony.
