APD: 2 men dressed as utility workers tied up, robbed NW Austin woman

AUSTIN - Austin police officers are searching for two men who knocked on a northwest Austin home Wednesday morning dressed as utility workers, tied up the woman who answered and robbed her.

According to the Austin Police Department, the two men dressed as "utility workers" -- one in a yellow helmet -- knocked on the door of a residence located in the 6200 block of Ledge Mountain Drive at around 8:30 a.m. After a woman answered the door and the men tied her up, police said they took some things inside and got away.

The woman was unharmed, police said.
