Alleged stalker climbed to victim's 2nd floor balcony

AUSTIN - A man who allegedly climbed to a second floor balcony and entered a woman’s apartment is being sought for allegedly stalking the woman since he saw her at a local club.

The victim claimed that the man, Fabian Venegas, 27, showed up at her residence on multiple occasions and climbed on to her balcony numerous times along with sneaking into the apartment through the balcony door, according to the arrest affidavit.

Police said neighbors have taken several photos of the separate instances that Venegas allegedly snuck onto the victim’s balcony, and then proceeded to enter the residence.

The victim also stated that Venegas has shown up to her apartment pool several times. In one of those incidents, the victim told police Venegas was wearing nothing but a small loin cloth. He then proceeded to yell at her from the pool area with a menacing look on his face, according to the arrest affidavit.

When police questioned Venegas, he told them he was in a relationship with the victim, but when asked what the victim’s name was; he allegedly answered incorrectly.

Venegas was charged with a third-degree felony of stalking and a protective order was filed against him on behalf of the victim.
