AISD Police say Austin High safe after alleged threat

AUSTIN - Austin Independent School District Police said Monday they have made an arrest after an alleged threat was made against Austin High School.

AISD said they first became aware of the threat Monday, but that after the arrest was made; AISD PD now say the threat is no longer viable and “it is safe to operate school tomorrow as scheduled.”

The information about the alleged threat came in a note sent to Austin High School parents by Principal Amy Taylor. AISD Police did ask any student or parent who had any further information on the alleged threat to contact them at 512-414-1703.
