AUSTIN -- A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Austin area, and heavy winds are causing several flight cancellations and delays.
According to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, several departures and arrivals have been canceled or delayed.
Most of the canceled flights were headed to Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago and Los Angeles. One canceled flight was headed to Lubbock, where a severe snowstorm has canceled classes at Texas Tech University.
