AUSTIN -- Floodwaters roared across Old Bee Cave Road near Highway 290 just east of the Y at Oak Hill.
The city closed the road down because it was too dangerous for vehicles to try and pass.
Williamson Creek also ripped up asphalt near the Austin Pizza Garden and flooded the inside.
"There was about four inches of water throughout the restaurant from front to back, which is the most I've ever seen in about 20 years here," said Brian Ahart with the Austin Pizza Garden.
Employees spent the day mopping up water and cleaning. Floodwaters also knocked down a fence at nearby baseball fields.
