Williamson County deputies launched a manhunt Thursday morning for kidnappers accused of holding three people hostage.

The incident happened Thursday morning between Leander and Liberty Hill on Oak Creek Road and  County Road 279.

Deputies say all three victims have severe injuries but are expected to survive. They were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The kidnappers kept the victims in a house at 4405 Oak Creek Road. The victims include two males and one female between 20 and 40 years old. Detectives believe the three were abducted Thursday morning, but it's unclear exactly when.  The two men managed to escape from the house around 6 a.m. They walked down County Road 279 for several miles into the City of Leander. They contacted police near CR 279 and 2243.

Leander PD alerted the Williamson County Sheriff's Office to the kidnapping. The female victim was still inside the house. The Williamson County SWAT team along with Travis County set up outside the home. As the SWAT approached the house, deputies say they heard the woman inside and broke in. They found her,  but the kidnappers were already gone.

“We are actively investigating this,” said Sgt. John Foster, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.  “We have numerous detectives going in numerous directions.  If anyone has information we want to hear from you."

Deputies do not know where the three victims were kidnapped, whose house they were taken to or how long they were kept there until the two men could escape.

Even though deputies are still searching for the kidnappers, they say there isn't an immediate danger to others because they say the victims knew the kidnappers. There was a previous relationship, but it’s unclear what kind.

Detectives are interviewing the victims to get a description of the kidnappers and find out exactly how many are involved. Anyone who may know something about the kidnapping is asked to call the Williamson County Sheriff's Office.
