AUSTIN -- Volunteers with Meals on Wheels and More spread out Thanksgiving morning to deliver more than 400 meals to senior citizens and people with disabilities.
The volunteers know they're bringing more than food.
"Just a little warmth, to know that somebody cares about them, somebody's thinking about them. That's what we all want as people, so we're happy to share that," said volunteers Brad and Julie Houston.
"I appreciate the people coming and giving us the meal," said Meals on Wheels client Rafeal Rolan.
Meals on Wheels and More usually delivers around 3,000 meals a day, Monday through Friday.
HEB donated the food for Thursday's deliveries.
