AUSTIN -- Texas Department of Transportation is temporarily lowering tolls for truckers on SH-130, in an effort to entice truckers to move off I-35 and reduced traffic congestion.
Beginning Monday big rig toll rates will be the same as what car and pickup drivers pay.
This involves the stretch of SH-130 between Georgetown and Mustang Ridge and to Texas 45 Southeast between SH-130 and I-35.
The reduced cost will end after March 3rd.
After that date, vehicles with four or more axles will once again pay three times the rate for two-axle vehicles.
