AUSTIN -- A local group of high schoolers want to bring people together with delicious pie.
Students in Travis High School's Culinary Arts Program are hosting a Peace Through Pie celebration on Friday.
It's part of a national movement which aims to cultivate peace and bring diverse community groups together through food and conversation.
More than 200 people are expected to attend. The event will be held 3-4 p.m. at the Travis High School cafeteria.
Aside from desserts there will be musical performances and student artwork on display.
