AUSTIN -- Travis County has lifted the burn ban five days early due to the heavy rains Central Texas has been receiving.
Fire Marshal Hershel Lee lifted the ban Friday. It was scheduled to end on Sept. 25.

County Judge Dan A. Gattis lifted the burn ban for unincorporated areas of Williamson County on Friday.
Even though the burn ban has been lifted, no outdoor burning of combustible materials will be allowed during Critical Fire Danger Days and Red Flag Warning Days.
