TRAVIS COUNTY -- The Travis County fire marshal has lifted the burn ban.
Fire Marshal Hershel Lee said the ban was scheduled to end on Feb. 6. But due to heavy rains in the area, it has been lifted early.
Residents are still asked to contact a nearby fire department before burning outdoors in unincorporated areas of Travis County. Burning is not allowed during windy days.
