TRAVIS COUNTY -- A Travis County deputy will not be indicted for fatally shooting an armed man nearly two years ago.

On December 11, 2011, deputies went to a home on FM 812 just south of the airport for a welfare check, where they found 31-year-old Joshua Samuelson barricaded inside.

Samuelson had texted pictures of himself holding a shotgun to his friends and family.

When officers heard gun shots near the home, the SWAT team moved in.

Samuelson pointed a gun at them and ignored commands to put it down. That's when deputy Carlos Rodriguez fired shots at Samuelson, killing him.

It took a grand jury almost two years to clear his name.
