AUSTIN -- Only one member of the Travis County Commissioners Court is calling for District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg to resign.
Gerald Daugherty said it would be best for the community if Lehmberg quit.
During their meeting Tuesday morning, the county's legal office told commissioners they don't have the power to force Lehmberg to leave.
Most, however, supported the embattled DA and said she shouldn't have been publicly humiliated for her mistake.
Lehmberg pleaded guilty to DWI in April. Her blood-alcohol level was 0.239, nearly three times the legal limit for driving.
She served half of a 45-day sentence and was released early for good behavior.
Lehmberg was also fined $4,000 and had her drivers license suspended for 180 days.
She is undergoing professional treatment.
