TRAVIS COUNTY -- Travis County sheriff's deputies along with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission have been conducting stings over the past three months at bars and convenience stores to make sure alcohol is not being sold to minors.
The task force sent 17 and 18-year-olds into those establishments to try and by alcohol.
All the retailers and bars in the West Campus area near the University of Texas refused to sell to minors. The same was true for retail stores throughout downtown Austin and west Travis County.
Six local bars were caught selling drinks to the underage decoys.
